Effects of 660 nm laser irradiation on metabolism in obese mice
摘要
Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effect of 660 nm laser irradiation on metabolism in obese mice.Meth-ods:A total of 24 C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into control group(n=8)and high-fat diet group(n=16).After the obesity model was successfully established in the high-fat diet group, the mice were randomly divided into model group and 660 nm laser irradiation(PBMT)group, with 8 mice in each group. The PBMT group(660 nm la-ser irradiation)received daily irradiation, while the control group consumed a normal diet, and both the model and PBMT groups were fed a high-fat diet. The changes of body weight, cold tolerance, fasting blood glucose,ALT,AST,BUN,CRE,CHO,HDL-C,LDL-C and TG were observed. The weight of inguinal white adipose tissue(iWAT)and epididymal white adipose tissue(eWAT)were measured. Results:Compared to the control group, the model group showed an increase in body weight, decreased cold resistance, elevated levels of fasting blood glucose,ALT,and AST.Additionally, there was an increase in the weights of iWAT and eWAT(all P<0.05).Compared to the model group, the PBMT group exhibited a decrease in body weight, improved cold tolerance, decreased levels of fasting blood glu-cose,ALT,and AST,and increased BUN levels.Additionally, there was a reduction in the weights of iWAT and eWAT(all P<0.05).Conclusion:The 660 nm laser irradiation can reduce body weight, improve glucose and lipid metabolism, protect liver function, reduce blood glucose and reduce abdominal fat accumulation in obese mice.关键词
