Abstract
A color tone mapping algorithm based on multi-scale local edge preserving filtering(LEP)is proposed to address the issue that images generated by dual energy X-ray security inspection machines cannot present all details on regular displays.Firstly,the high-energy and low-energy images obtained from the X-ray security inspection machine is fused by matching weight factors according to their respective penetration characteristics.Secondly,natural logarithmic transformation is applied to the fused image,and LEP filtering is used to obtain the base layer image.Then,the detail layer image and tanh function enhancement are obtained through subtraction,and the enhanced detail layer image is added and fused.Finally,after performing negative exponential transformation and grayscale linear stretching,a low dynamic range image with full detail is obtained.The experimental results show that the algorithm proposed in the paper performs well in subjective evaluation of luggage and parcel images and national standard test bodies,and can effectively improve the quality of X-ray images.关键词
