Meta-analysis of the Intervention Effect on Peplau's Theory of Interpersonal Relationship for Cancer Patients

Abstract
Objective To explore the application effect of nursing intervention program based on Peplau's theory of interpersonal relationship in cancer patients.Methods The Cochrane Library,PubMed,Web of Science,EMbase,Chinese Biomedical Literature Database,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,Wanfang Database and other databases were searched by computer to find the randomized controlled trials related to the intervention effect of nursing programs based on Peplau's theory of interpersonal relationship on cancer patients.The search time was from the establishment of the database to October 2022,and Meta analysis was performed using Review Manager 5.4.Results A total of 10 articles were included,involving 1040 cancer patients.Meta-analysis showed that the quality of life score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant[MD=22.92,95％CI(20.29,25.56),Z=17.04,P＜0.05];the anxiety score of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant[MD=-9.19,95％CI(-15.46,-2.93),Z=2.88,P＜0.05];the depression score of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant[MD=-9.42,95％CI(-12.49,-6.35),Z=6.01,P＜0.05];however,there was no significant difference in anxiety score between the experimental group and the control group in lung cancer patients[MD=-12.38,95％CI(-27.20,2.43),Z=1.64,P=0.10].Conclusion The nursing program based on Peplau's theory of interpersonal relationship can improve the overall quality of life of cancer patients and improve the negative emotions of anxiety and depression,but it fails to improve the anxiety of lung cancer patients.Therefore,it is necessary to further expand the sample size and carry out the original research on the influence of nursing intervention based on Peplau's theory of interpersonal relationship on anxiety in patients with lung cancer.In addition,clinical medical staff should pay attention to the psychological assessment of patients,provide targeted interventions,carry out psychological counseling,and reduce negative emotions when implementing treatment and nursing interventions.关键词
