Investigating the impact of Y-shaped wheel spoke design curves on automobile aerodynamic performance

Abstract
By utilizing a V-shaped wheel hub design memory curve, this paper introduces a Y-shaped design curve model based on an analysis of current wheel hub features.Wheel hub research samples are designed, with the hub fork node position and fork angle as independent variables.Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) numerical simulation techniques are employed to calculate the aerodynamic drag coefficient of the complete vehicle for different wheel hub designs.Our comparative analysis of the simulation results and numerical data reveals a significant impact of the wheel hub fork node position and fork angle on the aerodynamic drag of the car.Finally, comprehensive comparative samples are designed to verify our conclusion.Our results indicate the Y-shaped design curve model for wheel hubs develop favorable wheel hub design strategies for enhancing overall vehicle aerodynamic performance.Thus, our model may provide some reference for the optimization of wheel hub design.关键词
