摘要

Abstract

This paper summarized the Environmental Engineering Discipline's application,evaluation and funding conditions of the National Natural Science Foundation(NSFC)of China in 2023,and analyzed the funding characteristics.In 2023,the Environmental Engineering Discipline received 3478 project applications with an increasing rate of 9.6%compared to 2022.A total of 489 grants were awarded for the General Program,Young Scientists Fund and Fund for Less Developed Regions.Moreover,there were 5 grants awarded for the Key Program,7 for the Excellent Young Scientists Fund,5 for the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars,1 for the Science Fund for Creative Research Groups and 1 for the Basic Science Center Program.During 2023,the Environmental Engineering Discipline earnestly implemented the task of deepening reform of the NSFC,strengthened the projects'whole process management,and promoted the innovative development of the discipline.
