Research Progress in biodiversity maintenance mechanism in forest communities
摘要
Abstract
The ecological processes and driving forces of seedling regeneration in forest communities are key scientific issues affecting community construction,succession and biodiversity maintenance.Because of differences in life histo-ry strategies between various tree species,biotic and abiotic factors also have different effects on them.The positive and negative feedback mechanisms(density restriction,habitat filtration)of biological and abiotic factors on seedling survival are still controversial and uncertain.The relative importance of density restriction and habitat filtration in the seedling stage remains the most complex research topic.In this paper,the effects of negative density restriction and habitat filtration on seedling survival of woody plants in forest community were analyzed.The relative importance of these two effects in seedling regeneration was also discussed.Based on the research status of seedling regeneration dynamics and its ecological process,the future research was prospected.关键词
