Abstract
Against the backdrop of massification in higher education,research on new universities in China has gradually emerged,primarily focusing on the transformation and development of newly established undergraduate institutions.Since 2015,a series of research results have emerged around the study of new universities in China.Among them,Gu Yong'an's article"The New Characteristics and Patterns of Chinese New Universities"first proposed the conceptual definition,vision,characteristics,and patterns of Chinese new universities,laying a foundational value for related research.Liu Yourong et al.'s work"Theory of New University Typology"explores theoretical discussions and empirical research on new university typologies from the perspective of internal and external governance systems of universities,with significant pioneering significance for related research.Li Kejun et al.'s"Theory of New University Development Models"provides innovative contributions from three aspects:forward-looking and predictive research,systematic framework construction,and diversified research methods.The research by these three scholars on Chinese new universities has gradually deepened and advanced,continuously innovating and sublimating.As applied undergraduate colleges enter a new stage of high-quality development,research on new universities in China will continue to expand to promote the construction of a high-quality higher education system.关键词
