摘要
Abstract
Objective To gain an in-depth understanding of the real experiences of paid caregivers for disabled elderly patients during hospitalization.Methods A qualitative research approach was used to conduct face-to-face interviews with 12 paid caregivers for disa-bled elderly patients.Data analysis was performed using Claizzi's 7-step analysis method.Results Four themes were identified,inclu-ding caregiver stress and coping strategies,positive experiences of caregivers,caregiver needs,and caregivers'perspectives on end-of-life issues for elderly patients.Conclusion Paid caregivers experience physical and mental health pressures and desire recognition from patients and their families.Targeted health education programs can be implemented by healthcare institutions to address these issues.关键词
