Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of self-formulated Baidan Weiwei Decoction in the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG)and its impact on serum gastrointestinal hormone levels and Helicobacter pylori(Hp)clearance rate.Methods Eight-y patients with CAG admitted to our hospital from June 2020 to June 2022 were randomly assigned to a control group and a traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)group,with 40 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were treated with omeprazole enteric-coa-ted tablets,while patients in the TCM group received self-formulated Baidan Weiwei Decoction in addition to the treatment in the con-trol group.The TCM Syndrome Score,pathological scores,levels of gastrointestinal hormones(pepsinogen Ⅰ[PG Ⅰ],pepsinogenⅡ[PG Ⅱ],PG Ⅰ/PG Ⅱ ratio),Hp clearance rate,and clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups before and after treat-ment.Results After treatment,the scores of four TCM Syndrome items including liking warmth and pressure,epigastric pain,fa-tigue and shortness of breath,loose stools,and poor appetite and poor digestion were lower in both groups compared to before treat-ment,with the TCM group showing significantly lower scores than the control group(P＜0.05).The scores of four pathological i-tems including metaplasia,intestinalization,atrophy,and chronic inflammation were lower in both groups after treatment compared to before treatment,with the TCM group showing significantly lower scores than the control group(P＜0.05).The serum levels of PGⅠ and PG Ⅰ/PG Ⅱ ratio were higher in both groups after treatment compared to before treatment,with the TCM group showing sig-nificantly higher levels than the control group(P＜0.05).No statistically significant difference was observed in the serum PG Ⅱ levels between the two groups before and after treatment(P＞0.05).The overall response rate in the TCM group was significantly higher than that in the control group(92.50％vs.72.50％;P＜0.05).The Hp clearance rate in the TCM group was significantly higher than that in the control group(95.00％vs,75.00％;P＜0.05).Conclusion The self-formulated Baidan Weiwei Decoction in the treatment of CAG can effectively ameliorate clinical symptoms and pathological characteristics,regulate gastrointestinal hormone lev-els,increase Hp clearance rate,and achieve good efficacy.关键词
