Abstract
Paclitaxel chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy(CIPN)is a common complication during chemotherapy and seriously affects patients'quality of life.The role of cryotherapy in preventing paclitaxel CIPN is increasingly evident,but there are still many controversies regarding the optimal implementation strategy of cryotherapy in clinical practice.Cryotherapy works by reducing the skin temperature of the limbs,decreasing local blood flow,and reducing the accumulation of chemotherapy drugs at the limb ends to prevent CIPN.Among them,non-constant temperature cryotherapy is simple and easy to perform,but its cooling effect is unstable,and patients have limited tolerance.Constant temperature cryotherapy can provide a more stable and comfortable cooling environment and has shown better preventive effects in multiple studies.However,the equipment for constant temperature cryotherapy is bulky,and the economic cost is high,limiting its widespread application in clinical practice.Summarizing the main research results of cryotherapy in preventing CIPN and proposing future research directions will facilitate the continuous improvement and optimization of cryotherapy,providing effective means for the prevention and treatment of CIPN and improving patients'quality of life.关键词
