Abstract

The effects of physical adsorption materials and chemical inhibition materials on the release of particulate matter and benzene organic compounds in asphalt smoke was explored in this study to reduce the harm of asphalt smoke to the health and environment of construction workers.The actual application of asphalt was simulated in the laboratory.The asphalt smoke was collected by Polytetrafluoroethylene filter membrane and cyclohexane absorption solution.The inhibitory effects of activated carbon and deodorant B were studied through weight method and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry combined experiments.The impact on asphalt road performance was further studied.The optimal formula for the composite smoke suppressant and deodorizer was obtained through the central composite model,which were an activated carbon content of 3.28%and a deodorant B content of 3%o.The effect of smoke suppressant and deodorizer on the microstructure of asphalt was obtained through infrared spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance hydrogen spectroscopy experiments.The results showed that deodorizer B is mainly composed of ester compounds.The main principle of composite smoke suppressant deodorizer is to lengthen the branched carbon chain and increase the boiling point of asphalt to get the effect of smoke suppressant and deodorizer.
