Abstract

Objective To investigate the predictive value of serum D-dimer(D-D)and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)in children with severe Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia(MPP).Methods A total of 102 children with MPP who were hospitalized in Liaocheng People's Hospital from February 2019 to February 2022 were selected and divided into severe MPP group(n=35)and common MPP group(n=67)according to the classification criteria of MPP.The levels of C-reactive protein(CRP),D-D,LDH,and other laboratory indicators were compared between the two groups.The logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of MPP in children,and the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to analyze the predictive value of related indicators for severe MPP.Results Compared with ordinary MPP group,CRP,procalcitonin,erythrocyte sedimentation rate,D-D,and LDH levels were increased and lymphocyte count was decreased in severe MPP group(P<0.05).The logistic regression analysis showed that D-D(OR=1.613)and LDH(OR=1.473)were independent influencing factors for severe MPP(P<0.05).ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve(AUC)of D-D for predicting severe MPP was 0.748,when the cut-off value was 1.37 mg/L,the sensitivity was 71.4%,and the specificity was 82.1%.The AUC of LDH in predicting severe MPP was 0.774,when the cut-off value was 325.53 U/L,the sensitivity was 91.4%,and the specificity was 56.7%.The AUC of the combination of the two was 0.841,which was greater than that of D-D or LDH alone(P<0.05).Conclusion D-D and LDH are independent influencing factors for severe MPP in children,and the combined detection of the two has a high predictive value for severe MPP.
