Abstract

To deal with the problem of"double fading effect"in Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface(RIS)assisted wireless communication system,an optimization method of RIS location deployment is proposed.A model of RIS-assisted wireless communication system is established in accordance with the practical application scenario,which considers that the RIS can be deployed at any location in the three-dimensional space.With the objective of maximizing the user-received Signal to Noise Ratio(SNR),the closed-form solution for the optimal deployment location of RIS is theoretically derived by numerically analyzing the relative position relationship among the base station,the RIS and the user in the three-dimensional space.The results of simulation experiments show that deploying the RIS at the optimal location obtained by the numerical analysis method improves the user-received SNR for the RIS-assisted wireless communication system in practical application scenarios.
