Research progress in evaluating left ventricular function in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension using echocardiography

Abstract
Pulmonary arterial hypertension(PAH)is a progressive disease caused by pulmonary vascular remodeling leading to elevated pulmonary arterial pressure,belonging to Group 1 pulmonary arterial hypertension.It is characterized by a progressive increase in pulmonary vascular resistance leading to right heart failure,and left heart function can also be affected due to factors such as biventricular dependence and hemodynamics.In recent years,echocardiography has become an important examination for detecting structural and functional abnormalities of the heart in clinical practice due to its advantages of real-time,radiation-free,and repeatability.With the increasing maturity of new technologies such as speckle tracking imaging,pressure-strain loop,and three-dimensional echocardiography,the analysis of myocardial function by echocardiography has become more convenient and accurate.This article reviews the research progress of new echocardiography techniques in evaluating left ventricular function in patients with PAH.关键词
