摘要
Abstract
This paper aims to reduce the severe response to the wind load on side-by-side double cyl-inders(a simplified model of bridge stay cables),and proposes an active flow control method to suppress wind loads concurrently on these cylinders.The numerical simulation method is used to explore the flow control effects on the double cylinders.The results show that the maximum wind load presents at the spacing ratio of the side-by-side two cylinders with 3 times of the cylinder diameter,and the significant control effect appears at the jet flow velocity of 1.5 times of the inflow wind velocity applied to the wake of the cylinders,which effectively reduce the wind loads and suppress the vortex shedding in the double cylinders.The control mechanism is that the jet flow can effectively reduce the wake width of each cylin-der and suppress the interaction between the two wake streams.关键词
