Abstract

To solve the serious scaling problem of a condenser,a centralized ball serve technique was adopted to upgrade its cleaning system.In present work,the rubber ball serve device is driven by compressed air in an intermittent and centralized manner.The rubber ball receiving device is driven by a sewage pump through a V-shaped movable mesh plate.A test was conducted to fuilly know the condenser performances.It is resulted that the number of rubber balls collected by the cleaning system range from 8 700 to 9 000.The ball collection ratio increases from 55%-70%to 96%-99%,the heat transfer coefficient increase by 21%,the cleanliness factor increase by 22%,the terminal temperature difference reduce by 1.05 ℃,the outlet temperature of cold water reduce by 0.5 ℃,the condenser pressure decrease by 0.36 kPa,the vacuum degree reduce by 7.9%,the condenser temperature decrease by 1.6 ℃,the coal consumption of the power unit decrease by 1.2 g/(kW·h).The present rubber ball cleaning system facilitates to improve the heat transfer performance of the condenser and increase the electrical efficiency.
