摘要

Abstract

A comparative study was conducted on the microstructure and mechanical properties of TA15 titanium alloy thin sheets prepared using the pack rolling process and conventional cold rolling process.The study revealed that the phases,sizes,and volume fractions of the microstructures in both longitudinal and transverse directions were similar for the two processes,with higher Vickers hardness in the longitudinal direction.Compared to TA15 titanium alloy thin sheets prepared by cold rolling,those produced by hot rolling exhibited superior mechanical properties,with smaller differences in mechanical properties between the longitudinal and transverse directions,better overall performance,and higher room temperature yield strength.This demonstrated a contrasting characteristic of"transverse greater than longitudinal,hot rolling greater than cold rolling".The hot rolling process can weaken directional texture,resulting in sheets with a tensile mechanical property characteristic of"high strength,large yield-to-tensile ratio,small difference between longitudinal and transverse directions".
