An Optimization-sorting Security and Stability Control Strategy Considering Generators Coordination in Multiple Regions

Abstract
Low-frequency oscillation exists between Inner Mongolia power grid and Shandong power grid,which leads to the transmission capacity of Inner Mongolia power grid be restricted by dynamic stability.Therefore,the safety automatic device is adopted to cut off the relevant generators to ensure the safe and stable operation of the grid when N-2 failure occurs in the transmission channel.Due to the impact of dynamic stability characteristics,the Inner Mongolia power grid currently adopts the remote strategy of generator tripping that is preferred to cut off the generators far from the transmission channel and then cut off others closed to the transmission channel.This current strategy of generator tripping can solve the low-frequency oscillation between Inner Mongolia power grid and Shandong power grid.However,after N-2 fault occurs to the transmission channel in some maintenance modes,the line power flow in the near area is extremely easy to exceed the current carrying capacity,which current strategy of generator tripping need so excessive generator cutting that can not effectively solve.An optimization strategy of security and stability control system suitable for Inner Mongolia transmission channel was proposed.From the perspectives of dynamic stability of the power grid and thermal stability of the transmission line,priority ranking schemes for each regional generator group were formulated.The two schemes were coordinated to ensure the safety and stability of the power grid,while controlling the relevant power flow of the transmission line within the thermal stability limit.The simulation results show that the optimization strategy of generator tripping can meet the relevant requirements with less cutting capacity.关键词
