Abstract
Objective:To translate the Productive Engagement Scale into Chinese,and to test its reliability and validity.Methods:Translation and back-translation of the Productive Engagement Scale were conducted following the Brislin model and Guidelines for the Cross-Cultural Adaptation by the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons(AAOS)Outcomes Committee,then expert consultation and pilot survey were also used to culturally adapt the scale.Finally,429 community-living older people were surveyed to test the reliability and validity.Results:The Chinese version of Productive Engagement Scale included 1 dimension and 9 items.The item-content validity index(I-CVI)ranged from 0.875 to 1.000,and the scale-content validity index(S-CVI)was 0.890.The Cronbach's alpha coefficient,test-retest reliability,and split-half reliability were 0.923,0.865 and 0.826,respectively.Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the model fit the data well.Conclusion:The Chinese version of Productive Engagement Scale has good reliability and validity,which provides a measurement tool for assessing productive engagement in community-living older people.关键词
