Application of perioperative nutrition management based on the concept of enhanced recovery after surgery in children with Hirschsprung disease

Abstract
Objective To explore the application effect of perioperative nutrition management based on the concept of enhanced recovery after surgery in children with Hirschsprung disease.Methods A total of 66 children with Hirschsprung disease in Department of Pediatrics Surgery,Affiliated Hospital of Youjiang Medical University for Nationalities from August 2020 to April 2023 were selected as the study objects.Among them,those admitted from August 2020 to December 2021 were included in the control group(33 cases),and those admitted from January 2022 to April 2023 were included in the intervention group(33 cases).The control group was given routine nursing,and the intervention group was given perioperative nutrition management based on the concept of enhanced recovery after surgery.The nutritional indexes and quality of life in the two groups were compared.Results The score of screening tool for the assessment of malnutrition in pediatrics at 3 months after discharge in the intervention group was lower than that in the control group,and the levels of total protein and hemoglobin at 7 days after surgery and 3 months after discharge were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The pediatric quality of life inventory version 4.0 generic core scale score at 3 months after discharge in the intervention group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Perioperative nutrition management based on the concept of enhanced recovery after surgery can improve the nutritional status and quality of life in children with Hirschsprung disease,which is worth popularizing and applying.关键词
