Abstract
The observe the clinical effect of Hyrax rapid maxillary expansion combined with maxillary protraction in the treatment of children with skeletal class Ⅲ malocclusion during dental replacement period.Methods A total of 100 children with skeletal class Ⅲ malocclusion during dental replacement period in Handan Eye Care Hospital from June 2022 to September 2023 were selected and divided into control group and study group by the random number table method,with 50 cases in each group.The control group was treated with FR-Ⅲ functional appliance combined with upper removable appliance,and the study group was treated with Hyrax rapid maxillary expansion combined with maxillary protraction.The treatment effect of the two groups was compared.Results Before treatment,there were no significant differences in sella-nesion-point A(SNA),sella-nesion-point B(SNB),AB plane angle(ANB),horizontal coverage,upper lip(ULP),and lower lip(LLP)between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the SNA,SNB,ANB,horizontal coverage,ULP,and LLP were improved in both groups,and those in the study group were better than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Hyrax rapid maxillary expansion combined with maxillary protraction in the treatment of children with skeletal class Ⅲ malocclusion during dental replacement period has significant clinical effect,which is worthy of popularization and application.关键词
