The Impact of Transfer of Employment on the Vulnerability of Farmers'Livelihood:Evidence Based on County Data in Xinjiang

Abstract
Reducing the vulnerability of farmers'livelihood is the foundation and premise of rural revitalization,and transferring employment is an important means to reduce the vulnerability of farmers'livelihood.Based on the micro-data of farmers in Xinjiang,the double difference tendency score matching method(PSM-DID)is used to empirically test the impact of employment transfer policy on farmers'livelihood vulnerability.The results show that the transfer of employment can significantly reduce the vulnerability of farmers'livelihood,and this conclusion is still robust after the robustness test by changing the standard line and changing the matching method.The heterogeneity test shows that the employment transfer policy has a stronger weakening effect on the livelihood vulnerability of farmers in southern Xinjiang,and the higher the level of livelihood vulnerability,the stronger the effect.In the further examination of the influence mechanism,it is found that the transfer of employment can reduce the vulnerability of farmers'livelihood by improving their skills and broadening their social network relationships.At present,it is a period of effective connection between poverty alleviation and rural revitalization.Based on the analysis results,relevant policy suggestions are put forward.关键词
