Platform Ecological Embedding and Traditional Enterprise Value Chain Climbing:Empirical Evidence from Listed Companies in China's Manufacturing Industry

Abstract
The platform ecosystem in the era of digital economy,as a new paradigm of business ecosystem innovation,provides favorable conditions for the digital and intellectual transformation of traditional enterprises,and promotes the competition among traditional enterprises from price to innovation.As the core symbol reflecting the competitiveness of enterprises,value chain climbing is the key to the high-quality development of traditional enterprises.To explore the impact of platform ecological embeddedness on the value chain upgrading of traditional enterprises,the article conducts empirical research based on theoretical analysis of the mechanism of the two and the relevant data of Chinese manufacturing listed companies from 2013 to 2020.The study finds that:the platform ecological embedding has a significant role in promoting the value chain of traditional enterprises,and this effect is gradually enhanced with the increase in the intensity of competition in the market in which the enterprises are located,and there is significant heterogeneity at the level of location,industry,and enterprise;the results of the mechanism test show that talent empowerment and innovation drive are important mechanisms to realize the role of platform ecological embedding in promoting the value chain upgrading of traditional enterprises,and the fixed assets investment of traditional enterprises has a certain reverse regulation effect on this process.The article has certain reference significance for the in-depth understanding of traditional enterprises embedded in platform ecology to realize value innovation.关键词
