Impact of cyberbullying victimization on adolescent's suicidal ideation:A moderated mediation model

Abstract
Objective:Based on the integrated motivational-volitional(IMV)model,this study explores the effect of cyberbullying victimization on adolescents'suicidal ideation and the internal psychological mechanism.Methods:Total-ly 1859adolescents from Anhui province wererecruitedtocomplete the Simplified Cyberbullying and Online Victimiza-tion Scale,TAS-20 Scale,Parents Phubbing Scale and Suicide Ideation Scale.Results:①Cyberbullying victimization had a significant positive predictive effect on adolescents'suicidal ideation(γ=0.35,t=11.61,P＜0.001);② Alexi-thymia partially mediated the relationship between cyberbullying victimization and suicidal ideation(γ=0.19,t=6.09,P＜0.001);③Parental phubbing not only moderated the relationship between cyberbullying victimization and alexithymia(γ=0.11,t=3.63,P＜0.01),but alsomoderated the relationship between alexithymiaand parents phub-bing(γ=0.15,t=6.01,P＜0.001).Conclusion:Cyberbullying victimization can significantly increase the risk of alexi-thymia of adolescents,thereby suppressing suicidal ideation.For groups with higher the lever of parents phubbing,this promoting effect will be stronger.关键词
