Improvement and sustained effect of a single group psychological intervention using the Satir Model on the subjective well-being of college students

Abstract
Objective:To explore the improvement and sustained effect of a single group psychological intervention using the Satir Model on the subjective well-being of college students.Methods:A convenient sampling method was used to select a research group of 40 college students and a control group of 25 students.A Satir model single group psychological intervention was conducted on the research group.The control group of college students did not partici-pate in this Satir model single group psychological counseling.The research group measured the subjective well-be-ing scale before and after and 2 weeks after intervention to evaluate the maintenance effect of the intervention.The control group of college students measured the subjective well-being scale three times during the same period.The total score of the subjective well-being scale after intervention and 2 weeks after intervention increased by 5%com-pared to before intervention,indicating that the intervention was considered effective.Results:29(72.5%)and 22(55.00%)college students in the research group showed a total score improvement of 5%or more on the subjective well-being scale after intervention and 2 weeks after intervention,respectively.The number of college students in the control group who showed a total score improvement of 5%or more on the subjective well-being scale after in-tervention and 2 weeks after intervention was 0.The comparison of the total score improvement of subjective well-being scale between two groups of college students after intervention and two weeks after intervention showed statis-tically significant differences(x2=32.726,20.785;P<0.001).After intervention and 2 weeks after intervention,the total score of the subjective well-being scale for college students in the study group was significantly higher than before intervention,with statistical significance(t=-6.798,-5.106;P<0.001);After intervention and 2 weeks after intervention,the total score of the subjective well-being scale for college students in the study group was signifi-cantly higher than that of the control group,with statistical significance(t=2.679,2.375;P<0.05).After interven-tion,the 9 factor scores of the subjective well-being scale for college students in the research group were signifi-cantly higher than those before intervention,including mental health,social confidence,growth and progress,goal value,self-acceptance,physical health,psychological balance,and interpersonal adaptation,with statistical signifi-cance(t=-5.495~-2.168;P<0.05~0.001);After 2 weeks of intervention,the six factor scores of the subjective well-being scale for college students in the research group were significantly higher than those before intervention,in-cluding mental health,social confidence,growth and progress,goal value,self-acceptance,and psychological bal-ance,with statistical significance(t=-4.781~-2.429;P<0.05~0.001).After intervention,the six factor scores of the subjective well-being scale for college students in the research group were significantly higher than those of the control group,including mental health,social confidence,growth and progress,goal value,self-acceptance,and inter-personal adaptation,with statistical significance(t=2.006~2.882;P<0.05~0.01).After 2 weeks of intervention,the four factor scores of the subjective well-being scale for college students in the research group were significantly higher than those of the control group,including social confidence,growth and progress,self-acceptance,and inter-personal adaptation,with statistical significance(t=2.431~2.792;P<0.05~0.01).Conclusion:The Satir Model of single group psychological intervention can effectively enhance the subjective well-being of college students and has a good retention effect.关键词
