Mao Dun Literature Award under the Demands of Identity
摘要
Abstract
Driven by the reflexive force of modernity,the 8th Mao Dun Literature Award aims to reconstruct the discourse power of intellectuals weakened in the division and contradiction of modernity,providing a cognitive system and explanatory framework for this world.From the 8th to the 10th sessions,the Mao Dun Literature Award has demonstrated a certain sense of unity in the evaluation mechanism,creative techniques of award-winning works,and composition of award-winning authors.Within the assessment framework,the discord between the initial review panel and the selection committee has been mitigated,with recommended literature supplanted by nominated works,thereby reinstating the authoritative status of the Mao Dun Literature Award's evaluation process.Hence,the trajectory of recognition for realist works is becoming increasingly distinct and assured.The resurgence of realism within the Mao Dun Literature Award system has brought together writers who were previously situated in disparate or even opposing positions within the literary sphere.It can be said that since the 8th session,the Mao Dun Literature Award has commenced the reconstruction of the public sphere pertaining to knowledge and intellectualism,furnishing a stable and enduring value system and cognitive framework for both the society and the global community.关键词
