Abstract

Taking the maintenance access tunnel in a long-distance water diversion project as an example and using two-dimensional and three-dimensional finite element analysis,the influence law of different fracture zone space position to the tunnel construction deformation characteristics was studied in order to provide data support for tunnel lining design.The studied influencing factors included the direction,in-clination,width of the fracture zone,the distance between the fracture zone and the tunnel,the tunnel depth and the lateral pressure coeffi-cient.The different combinations of the above factors were used to simulate different working conditions,so as to obtain the changing laws of the dome sinking,tunnel convergence and invert heave during tunnel excavation.The results show that when the inclination angle is small,the dome sinks larger and the convergence is smaller,while when the inclination angle is large,the opposite is true.In addition,the tunnel deformation gradually decreases with the increase of the distance,and approximately stabilizes when the distance L>0.4D.The deformation of the tunnel increases with the increase of the buried depth;the dome subsidence of the tunnel decreases with the increase of the lateral pres-sure coefficient,and the smaller the inclination angle,the greater the amount of subsidence,while the tunnel convergence shows the opposite trend.In contrast,when the direction of the fracture zone is oblique to the direction of excavation,the tunnel's vault sinks,inverted bulge and convergence is greater.
