Abstract

To identify effective insecticides for controlling Frankliniella intonsa(Trybom)on Hemerocallis citrina Baroni,the indoor toxicity of 17 insecticides were evaluated using the leaf tube film method and the field control efficacy of 11 of these insecticides were assessed through spraying.Results showed that 60 g/L spinetoram SC and 10%spinosad SC exhibited the highest toxicity to adult thrips,with relative toxicity indices of 4 744.20 and 3 184.11,respectively.In contrast,dinotefuran,tetraniliprole,flonicamid,and lambda-cyhalothrin demonstrated lower toxicity.Field trials revealed that the control efficacy of the 11 insecticides initially increased and then decreased.One day after application,spinetoram showed the most rapid effect with a control rate of 72.18%.Three days after application,all treatments improved in efficacy,with thiamethoxam and chlorfenapyr achieving the highest control rates of 78.09%and 77.51%,respectively.Therefore,spinetoram and chlorfenapyr are recommended as the primary insecticides for managing flower thrips,while cyantraniliprole,abamectin,and thiamethoxam can be used alternately.Conversely,spirotetramat,flonicamid,matrine,and cycloxaprid are not recommended.
