Hong Kong Newspapers'Reaction to the Situation in Xisha in 1970s
摘要
Abstract
After the outbreak of the Battle of the Xisha Islands in January 1974,Hong Kong newspapers actively cov-ered the event and rights protection trends in Hong Kong society,alongside the South China Sea Islands'history and ge-ography,but lacked in-depth analysis of China's sovereignty over the South China Sea.Ming Pao Monthly,however,fea-tured academic articles of Hong Kong,Taiwan,and overseas Chinese scholars,providing sufficient historical and legal bases for demonstration of China's sovereignty over the South China Sea Islands.关键词
