Application of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery in Perioperative Period of Inguinal Hernia in Elderly Patients in Primary Hospitals

Abstract
Objective To explore the application value of rapid recovery in the perioperative period of elderly patients with inguinal hernia in primary hospitals,and to provide a basis for establishing a rapid recovery pathway for elderly patients with inguinal hernia in the perioperative period in primary hospitals.Methods A total of 120 elderly patients with inguinal hernia surgery in the Department of General Surgery,Dahua Hospital,Xuhui District from June 2022 to December 2022 were selected.They were randomly divided into the observation group(60 cases)and the control group(60 cases).The control group was managed with a general management mode,and the observation group was managed with a rapid recovery concept.The postoperative pain,postoperative recovery,satisfaction,and incidence of complications of the two groups were compared.Results There was no statistically significant difference in the postoperative 6-hour pain score between the two groups(P＞0.05).The postoperative 1-day and 3-day pain scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).The time of first exhaust,first defecation,and hospital stay of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group.The satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the incidence of complications was lower than that of the control group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).Conclusion The use of the concept of rapid recovery in the perioperative period of elderly patients with inguinal hernia can alleviate pain,promote the early recovery of gastrointestinal function,reduce the length of hospital stay,reduce complications,and is worth applying in primary hospitals.关键词
