Research Progress on Cochlear Implantation in Patients with Cochlear Ossification
摘要
Abstract
A cochlear implant is an effective method to treat severe-to-profound sensorineural deafness.Cochlear ossification was once considered a contraindication to cochlear implant because of the obliteration of the cochlea by fibrous tissue or bone neoformation.However,with the development of cochlear rehabilitation technology,cochlear implantation has become an effective treatment for patients with cochlear ossification.This article reviews the pathogenesis,imaging evaluation,surgical strategy,and the outcome of cochlear implantation in cases with cochlear ossification.关键词
