Abstract
Objective To investigate the correlation between gingival and lip thickness and aesthetic degree in patients with maxillary anterior dental implant restoration.Methods A total of 102 patients with maxillary anterior tooth loss admitted to the author's hospital from January 2019 to October 2021 were selected.The patients were followed up for 6 months,used the red-white aesthetic standard(PES-WES)to evaluate the aesthetics after restoration,and according to the PES-WES score,they were divided into the aesthetic group(PES≥8 points and WES≥6 points)and those with poor aesthetics.Aesthetics group(PES＜8 or WES＜6).The demographic and sociological characteristics of the two groups were recorded,the gingival thickness of the maxillary anterior teeth was measured by cone beam CT,and the thickness of the lips was measured by facial posture pictures.Pearson correlation was used to analyze the correlation between gingival thickness and lip thickness and aesthetics in patients with maxillary anterior restorations.Binary Logistic was used to analyze the influencing factors of aesthetics in patients with maxillary anterior restorations.Results Among the 102 patients,4 patients were lost to follow-up due to relocation and other reasons,and 98 patients were finally included.Among them,68 patients(69.39%)with PES≥8 and WES≥6 were divided into the aesthetic group,and the remaining 30 patients were in the less aesthetic group.There were statistically significant differences in gingival thickness and lip thickness between the two groups(P＜0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that gingival thickness and lip thickness were positively correlated with aesthetics(r=0.439,P＜0.01;r=0.475,P＜0.01).Binary Logistic regression analysis showed that gingival thickness(OR=0.003,95%CI 0.001～0.077)and lip thickness(OR=0.181,95%CI 0.181～0.470)were the influences of aesthetics in patients with maxillary anterior restorations factor(P＜0.05).Conclusion The gingival thickness and lip thickness of patients undergoing implant restoration of maxillary anterior teeth are related to aesthetics,and the repair plan can be made according to the gingival thickness and lip thickness of patients before restoration.关键词
