Effects of Different Root Canal Irrigation Solutions on Root Canal Therapy in Patients with Chronic Pulpitis

Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of different root canal flushing solution on the treatment of chronic pulpitis.Methods A total of 108 patients with chronic pulpitis admitted to the author's hospital from January 2020 to January 2022 were selected and divided into a control group(54 cases)and a study group(54 cases).Both groups were treated with root canal treatment.The control group was treated with sodium hypochlorite(NaClO)combined with ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid(EDTA)irrigation,and the study group was treated with NaClO combined with QMix irrigation.The clinical efficacy,the levels of matrix metalloproteinase 9(MMP-9),matrix metalloproteinase 8(MMP-8)and matrix metalloproteinase 2(MMP-2)in exudate,inflammatory factors(IL-1β,IL-8 and TNF-α),visual analogue scale(VAS)and adverse reactions were recorded in the two groups.Results After treatment,MMP-9,MMP-8,MMP-2 and IL-1β,IL-8 and TNF-α were decreased in both groups,and the study group were lower than the control group(P＜0.05).There were no significant difference in clinical efficacy,pain degree and adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion In the root canal treatment of patients with chronic pulpitis,using NaClO combined with QMix to wash the affected teeth can reduce inflammation and relieve pain,and the clinical effect is significant.关键词
