Effects of FOCUS-PDCA Circulation Intervention on Blood Transfusion Time and Blood Transfusion Safety

Abstract
Objective:To explore the effects of FOCUS-PDCA circulation intervention on blood transfusion time and blood transfusion safety.Method:A total of 450 blood transfusion patients from the Binzhou Medical University Hospital from January to June 2021 were selected as the control group,and received routine blood transfusion management,and 450 blood transfusion patients in our hospital from July to December 2021 were selected as the intervention group,and received FOCUS-PDCA circulation intervention.Blood transfusion time,overtime infusion,occurrence of non-standard events,adverse reactions of blood transfusion and patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Result:The time of blood product retrieval,blood product infusion and blood product infusion completion in the intervention group were shorter than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The overtime infusion rate in the intervention group(6.67%)was lower than that in the control group(19.78%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of non-standard events in the intervention group(1.56%)was lower than that in the control group(4.00%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse transfusion reactions in the intervention group(4.44%)was lower than that in the control group(11.33%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The patient satisfaction in the intervention group(98.22%)was higher than that in the control group(93.33%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of FOCUS-PDCA circulation intervention in blood transfusion management can shorten the blood transfusion time,reduce the occurrence of overtime infusion and non-standard events,reduce the incidence of adverse reactions of blood transfusion,and improve patient satisfaction.关键词
