Abstract
The Kawabaiqing Pumped Storage Power Station is a key implementation of a pumped storage power sta-tion in the integrated water and wind power base in southeastern Tibet(Yucha).There are three large grooves devel-oped on the right bank slope of the lower reservoir,in which a large amount of Quaternary deposits is accumulated.If the deposits in this groove experience overall or large-scale instability and rush into the reservoir,it will directly affect the safety of the construction and operation of the project.Currently,there are no codes about the investiga-tion of the glacier valley deposits,and almost no engineering projects to refer to for empirical analogy analysis.This article analyzes the sedimentary history and apparent characteristics of valley deposits,typical vegetation develop-ment,comparison of historical satellite images,InSAR technology deformation recognition,and macroscopically de-termines that the deposits are generally stable;Furthermore,the discrete continuous coupling and limit equilibrium methods were used to numerically simulate and calculate the accumulation of sediment in the 2# trough.The results showed that under natural,rainfall,and seismic conditions,the slope is a whole and locally remained stable.The deformation of the slope under gravity conditions is limited,mainly concentrated at the junction of steep and gentle terrain,but the accumulation will not cause overall or large-scale damage,only local deformation adjustments will occur in the front edge steep and gentle junction area.This study will provide a systematic reference for engineering construction and disaster monitoring under the background of high-altitude glacial valleys,and provide a reliable method for determining the engineering stability of glacial valley deposits.关键词
