Effect of Jinzhi on Treatment of Senile Pruritus
摘要
Abstract
Gut microbiota maintains a symbiotic or antagonistic relationship to achieve a balance, which is consistent with"Yi Ping Wei Qi",the goal of treating diseases proposed by traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).Compared with young people, there are significant changes in the diversity and dominant species of gut microbiota in the elderly, which may break the balance of intestinal microecology, and lead to immune dysfunction, changes in sex hormone levels, thus triggering skin pruritus in the elderly. In turn, the anxiety and de-pression caused by long-term repetitive pruritus can also affect the gut microbiota.Jinzhi is a traditional Chinese medicine prepared from the feces of healthy children. After long time of buried storage, the microbiota in Jinzhi is quite different from that in the fecal fil-trate juice. The ancient people believed that it is extremely Cold in nature and can be used to treat diseases or syndromes such as fever with excess syndrome, pestilent warm diseases or epidemics, dryness and thirst of Yangming and febrile disease, which is possibly relat-ed to the fact that the microbiota in the Jinzhi plays a therapeutic role by modulating the gut microbiota.Fecal microbiota transplantation into the body of patients through modern technology also uses the feces of healthy people as raw materials to produce therapeutic effects, which is similar to the application of Jinzhi in TCM.From this prospect, gut microbiota may be a new target for the intervention of senile pruritus.关键词
