The onset of idiopathic membranous nephropathy is often due to Yang deficiency and Qi stagnation,invasion of external patho-genic factors such as Wind,Cold,and Dampness,and the inability of Zheng Qi to resist the pathogenic factors,resulting in the hidden and internal retention of evil Qi obstruction in Kidney collaterals.It is very similar to the theory of visceral rheumatism in terms of etiol-ogy,characteristics,and microscopic pathology.Therefore,in the clinical treatment of idiopathic membranous nephropathy,it is advisable to use the three methods of dredging Yang and relieving depression,strengthening Zheng Qi to relieve Qi and blood obstruction,dispel-ling Wind and Dampness,dispelling the hidden evil factors,invigorating blood and removing stasis as well as harmonizing collaterals and meridians.
