Research Progress on Traditional Chinese Medicine Regulating Immune Balance in Treatment of Sjögren's Syndrome

Abstract
The occurrence of Sjögren's syndrome(SS)is closely related to inflammation,and the pathogen-esis involves multiple factors such as genetics,immunity,and environment.In recent years,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)is of unique advantages in treating SS,especially in regulating immune balance,relieving symptoms,and delaying disease progression.Helper T cell 1(Th1),helper T cell 2(Th2),helper T cell 17(Th17),and regulatory T cells(Treg)are differentiated from CD4+T cells.Under normal circumstances,Th cell subsets are in dynamic equilibrium,jointly maintaining the immune homeostasis between pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory factors in the body.Once imbalance occurs,the production of inflammatory reactions would be serious.Restoring immune balance is particularly important for the anti-inflammatory treatment of SS.In this paper,the imbalance of Th1/Th2,Th17/Treg and the pathogenesis of SS were systemically reviewed.Besides,a compre-hensive analysis was conducted on the relevant research on the regulation of immune imbalance in the treatment of SS by TCM formulas,single Chinese medicinal,and their active ingredients,so as to provide references for revealing the regulation of immune balance in the prevention and treatment of SS by TCM.There were 48 papers cited.关键词
