Abstract
Since the initiative of"Bamboo as a Substitute for Plastic"is launched by the Chinese government and the International Network for Bamboo and Rattan(INBAR),and China releases"Three-Year Action Plan for Accelerating the Development of'Bamboo as a Substitute for Plastic'",more and more bamboo-producing regions have seized the new opportunity for the development of bamboo industry.Chishui city in Guizhou province,which is rich in bamboo resources,has both advantages and disadvantages in developing the"bamboo as a substitute for plastic"industry.The paper uses the SWOT analysis method to classify and analyze the advantages(S),disadvantages(W),opportunities(O),and threats(T)of developing the"bamboo as a substitute for plastic"industry in Chishui city,with an eye to the current development of the"bamboo as a substitute for plastic"industry in Chishui city.Through the matching and combination of various factors in the SWOT,the paper proposes the development strategy of the"bamboo as a substitute for plastic"industry for Chishui city:strengths-opportunities strategy(SO),weaknesses-opportunities strategy(WO),strengths-threats strategy(ST),and weaknesses-threats strategy(WT),and elaborates on the main methods to implement each strategy.The study aims to integrate Chishui city into the national planning of"bamboo as a substitute for plastic",accelerate the industry development process in the city and achieve the transformation and upgrading of bamboo industry.关键词
