Abstract
The context of"Why go back to your hometown when you can accomplish your career"concerns the attitudes of different social strata towards going back to their hometown to become officials.However,under the background of the confrontation of the Three Kingdoms,the narration of Shu-han history by the historians of the Wei Dynasty,such as Yu Huan,often implied certain political hostility,and even sometimes led to misleading fictions.The fact that Zhuge Liang advised Meng Jian not to be an official of the Wei Dynasty cannot imply that Zhuge Liang is indifferent to his hometown or afraid to compete with the scholar-officials of the Wei Dynasty.In fact,Zhuge Liang was deeply influenced by his native culture,and his political stand conflicted with Cao Cao and Liu Biao,therefore,he chose to follow Liu Bei,who has a common political goal.关键词
