Abstract

The experiment was conducted to monitor the adult emergence progress of Bactrocera minax in the natural state in northeast Sichuan, and to monitor the insect quantity of Bactrocera minax, Bactrocera dorsalis and Bactrocera tau in abandoned citrus orchards by means of fly-trap ball trapping. The results showed that the adult emergence of Bactrocera minax in northeast Sichuan began on May 10, and the peak period was in the mid to late May. The peak period of adult insect monitoring of Bactrocera minax in the field was in mid to late June, and the final date was July 25. The time interval of the beginning peak, peak, and final peak stages between the adult emergence and adult insect monitoring in the field of Bactrocera minax was 34, 31 and 37 days, respectively. The results could provide the basis for determining the optimal control period for Bactrocera minax. In the Laoshikan area of Jialing District in Nanchong City, it was found that the main fruit fly in citrus orchards was Bactrocera tau, and the quantity of Bactrocera dorsalis was relatively small.
