Abstract
The study used the seeds of Quercus variabilis collected from Yaji Mountain as experimental materials, sowing experiments on three specifications of seedling containers including 50 hole tray, 36 hole tray, 10 cm×20 cm nutrient bowl were carried out.Based on comprehen-sive analysis of seedling emergence rate, seedling cost, and seedling cycle,it is concluded that the most economical and efficient method for seedling cultivation is to use a 36 hole tray for sowing;experiments were conducted on the eradication of chestnut weevil larvae by soaking them in five water temperatures, including room temperature 50, 60, 70 and 80 ℃.The results showed that soaking the seeds in 60 ℃ hot water for 4 hours with 1.5 times the seed volume had the best insecticidal effect;we conducted experiments on the removal of embryonic roots in five si-zes: 0(with exposed navel), 1, 2, 3 and 4 cm, using seedling emergence rate as the main evaluation indicator, combined with growth indica-tors such as plant height, diameter diameter, main root length, main root diameter, and longest lateral root.Comprehensive evaluation of the impact of embryonic root damage on the emergence rate and growth of Quercus variabilis was conducted.The results showed that when the em-bryonic root length was less than or equal to 1 cm, the occurrence of embryonic root damage had no significant impact on the emergence rate and growth of Quercus variabilis.The research results have solved some practical problems existing in key technical processes such as seed col-lection, pest control, storage, and selection of seedling containers,which can provide practical and feasible operational experience for the so-wing and breeding of Quercus variabilis.关键词
