Research Progress in Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine for Frailty in the Elderly
摘要
Abstract
Population aging has become a global phenomenon.China's aging is becoming more and more serious.The health problems of the elderly are the most prominent problems in the aging society.Frailty is a common disease in the elderly,and inflammation plays an important role in frailty.Inflammatory factors in the body promote frailty by di-rectly or indirectly affecting musculoskeletal changes.Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the elderly are weak and all five internal organs are weak,especially the spleen and kidneys.The gradual deficiency of qi,blood,yin and yang is a common physiological characteristic of the elderly.Although frailty in the elderly is mainly caused by defi-ciency,pathological transformation is prone to occur during the progression of the disease.Due to deficiency leading to excess,pathological products such as phlegm and dampness are generated,and the disease pathogens stay for a long time,leaving the body in a state of chronic inflammation.关键词
