Abstract
Hesitant fuzzy sets provide an effective means to deal with the multi-attribute decision making problems, and their distance measure is an important indicator. In order to fully consider the degree of indecision of decision makers in their assessments, a new type hesitancy index based on the difference of membership degree between elements and the number of elements in a hesitant fuzzy element is defined, and a directional distance measure-based approach for the hesitant fuzzy multi-ple attribute decision making is proposed. First, to overcome the shortcomings of the current distance measures of hesitant fuzzy sets, the hesitant fuzzy directional distance measures with a new type hesitancy index are proposed, which makes full use of the original data information for evaluation in multi-attribute decision making. Then, based on the hesitant fuzzy direc-tional distance measures, a mathematical model is given to determine the attribute weights, and the corresponding multi-attri-bute decision model is constructed. Finally, the validity and rationality of the proposed method are illustrated through a case study on gearbox supplier selection.关键词
