摘要

Abstract

As the foundation of specialized courses, major basic courses traditionally emphasize the impartation of profes-sional knowledge but often overlook the development of students'comprehensive ability. This can result in a curriculum that is perceived as monotonous and far from real-world engineering challenges. This study takes Environmental Monitoring as an example of major basic course, and explores the design and introduction of diversified teaching methods into this course. More specifically, by applying various modern teaching tools, heuristic teaching aims to help students build a systematic and clear knowledge framework. By integrating typical engineering cases, scientific research projects, and course ideology and politics into the curriculum, case-based teaching bridges the distance between course teaching and engineering practice. By combining course objectives with hot frontiers and current policies, inquiry-based teaching contributes to the improvement of students' comprehensive ability and scientific innovative thinking. Therefore, the teaching concept of"keeping pace with the times, combining education with industry, as well as curriculum ideology and politics"is established, to cultivate students'ability of solving complex engineering problems, enhance their subjective initiative and professional recognition, and provide reference for the teaching reform of other major courses.
