Digital Economy,Innovation Capability,and Regional Integration
摘要
Abstract
This paper uses panel data from 63 cities in China's three major economic zones from 2011 to 2022 as a sample.Based on theoretical analysis,it empirically analyzes the impact and mechanism of the digital economy on regional integration using methods such as mechanism testing,spatial econometrics,and threshold effect testing.The mechanism test shows that the digital economy can promote regional integration,and this promotion can be achieved through the city's innovation capabilities.The results of spatial econometrics show that the central cities in the Pearl River Delta and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei regions have a siphon effect on the peripheral cities,while the promotion of regional integration by the digital economy in the Yangtze River Delta region is stronger than the siphon effect of the central cities.The threshold effect test shows that the digital economy has a significant threshold effect.As the level of digital economy development increases,its role in promoting regional integration through collaborating with city innovation capabilities will decline.关键词
