The Cognition and Optimization Strategies of Public Space in Traditional Villages under Syntax Theory:A Case of Yingxiamaili Village in Turpan

Abstract
With the implementation of China's rural revitalization strategy,traditional villages have achieved remarkable results in the protection and development,but the space and ecological environment of some traditional villages have not been effectively improved.Among them,the decline of the vitality of the public space in traditional villages is one of the most prominent problems.The renewal and quality improvement of the public space in multi-ethnic villages play an important role in promoting the communication among various ethnic groups.In the past,the studies on traditional villages focused on descriptive analysis,which led to a lack of understanding on the spatial form characteristics of traditional rural settlements.This paper takes Yingxiamaili Village in Turpan as an example,applies the space syntax to the renewal of traditional villages,quantitatively analyzes the public space in the villages,and explores the optimization strategies for the public spaces in multi-ethnic traditional villages under the rational principle.It aims to provide a reference for the optimization of public space in similar traditional villages,and to verify the rationality of spatial syntax in analyzing the public space in traditional village.关键词
