Abstract
Urban renewal projects are increasingly prevalent in the rapidly developing historical and cultural areas of cities.Architects face a significant challenge in balancing the preservation of historical context and urban memory with the demands of modern urban functionality and project innovation.This paper examines the Suzhou Zhuhui Hotel project,one of the largest urban renewal projects in the ancient city of Suzhou in recent years,to explore design strategies for culturally oriented urban renewal.In urban design,the approach involves weaving and repairing the ancient city's texture to maintain its historical continuity.In architectural design,the strategy includes preserving historical styles,integrating new and old buildings,and retaining key historical memories of the site.The goal is to recreate the unique spatial experience of Suzhou through scene creation and to highlight characteristic landscape nodes that reflect the daily life of old Suzhou.关键词
