Abstract

In the context of high-quality development, how to improve the performance of in-telligent manufacturing enterprises through ambidexterity innovation has become a topic of con-cern in both academic and practical circles. Characterized by its dual balance of exploration and utilization, dynamic capability has become an important factor for intelligent manufacturing en-terprises to cope with environmental changes, and servitization has also become an important fac-tor to improve the innovation performance of intelligent manufacturing enterprises. However, the existing researches rarely incorporate the two into the same research system of innovation path. Based on the basic theories of ambidextrous innovation, servitization and dynamic capabilities, this study constructs the theoretical model of "servitization and dynamic capabilities-ambidextrous innovation-enterprise performance", and refers to the mature scale design ques-tionnaire at home and abroad. Sample data of 387 intelligent manufacturing enterprises in China were collected through credamo platform, structural equation modeling is employed to empiri-cally study the impact of servitization product orientation, servitization customer orientation, inte-gration and reconstruction ability, organizational and technological flexibility ability on ambidex-terity innovation, and the impact path of ambidexterity innovation on firm performance. The results show that, first, in intelligent manufacturing enterprises, service-oriented cus-tomer orientation has a more significant impact on exploratory innovation, while service-oriented product orientation has a more significant impact on exploitative innovation. Second, in intelli-gent manufacturing enterprises, the integration and reconstruction capability plays a more signifi-cant role in exploitative innovation, and the organizational and technological flexibility capabil-ity plays a more significant role in promoting exploratory innovation. Third, in intelligent manu-facturing enterprises, exploratory innovation has a more significant impact on enterprise perfor-mance than exploitative innovation. Fourth, there are two paths in the innovation model of intelli-gent manufacturing enterprises driven by ambidexterity, one of which is "organizational and tech-nological flexibility, customer-oriented service-exploratory innovation-enterprise performance", and the other is "integration and reconstruction ability, product-oriented service-exploitative innovation-enterprise performance". Finally, this study provides theoretical guidance and countermeasures on how intelligent manufacturing enterprises can cultivate and develop servitization and dynamic capabilities, pro-mote the emergence of ambidextrous innovation, and effectively improve enterprise performance. First, the innovation and development of intelligent manufacturing enterprises urgently need to cultivate new forms of service. Second, the innovation and development of intelligent manufactur-ing enterprises urgently require the cultivation of dynamic capabilities, including integration and reconstruction capabilities, organizational and technical flexibility capabilities. Third, intelligent manufacturing enterprises should start from the core pain points of their own development and enhance enterprise performance through ambidexterity innovation.
