Analysis of interspecific competition among forest trees based on species genealogy

为探究针阔混交林中竞争木与对象木的亲缘性对林木种间竞争的影响,以浙江省天目山国家级自然保护区的针阔混交林为研究对象,将树种谱系引入Hegyi竞争指数,构建树种谱系竞争指数(G_Hegyi竞争指数).对Hegyi种间竞争指数、G_Hegyi种间竞争指数与胸径的相关性,胸高断面积生长量、胸高断面积生长率与Hegyi种间竞争指数、G_Hegyi种间竞争指数的相关性进行比较分析.同时,对Hegyi种间竞争指数比值、G_Hegyi种间竞争指数比值与林木生长之间的关系进行对比研究.结果表明:两种种间竞争指数与胸径均表现为极显著负相关(P<0.01),均呈幂函数关系;胸高断面积生长量与两种种间竞争指数均表现为极显著负相关,且均符合对数函数关系.胸高断面积生长率与两种种间竞争指数均为极显著正相关,均服从幂函数分布.G_Hegyi种间竞争指数与胸径的决定系数(R2)、相关系数的绝对值及胸高断面积生长量、胸高断面积生长率与G_Hegyi种间竞争指数的R2、相关系数的绝对值均大于Hegyi种间竞争指数.G_Hegyi种间竞争指数比值较Hegyi种间竞争指数比值更能准确地反映林木生长与种间竞争的关系.G_Hegyi种间竞争指数在分析林木种间竞争方面优于Hegyi种间竞争指数,更适用于林木生长的相关研究.

This study aims to investigate the influence of kinship between competing and target trees on interspecific competition in coniferous-broadleaved mixed forests to provide theoretical support for the scientific management of these forests. We focused on the coniferous-broadleaved mixed forest situated in Tianmu Mountain National Nature Reserve,Zhejiang Province,China,and introduced tree species genealogy into the Hegyi competition index to construct a new index termed the tree species genealogy competition index (G_Hegyi) . We conducted comparative analyses of the correlation between the Hegyi interspecific competition index,the G_Hegyi interspecific competition index and diameter at breast height(DBH),and the correlation between basal area increment and basal area increment rate with the Hegyi interspecific competition index and the G_Hegyi interspecific competition index. We conducted a comparative study to analyze the relationship of the ratio of the Hegyi interspecific competition index ratio to the G_Hegyi interspecific competition index ratio with tree growth. The results demonstrated that both interspecific competition indices and DBH showed highly significant negative correlations,and both exhibiting power function relationships;basal area increment and both interspecific competition indices showed highly significant negative correlations,and both conformed to logarithmic function relationships. The basal area increment rate had significantly positive correlation with both interspecific competition indices and followed power function distributions. The determination coefficients (R2) and the absolute values of correlation coefficients of G_Hegyi interspecific competition index with DBH,R2 and the absolute values of correlation coefficients of basal area increment,and basal area increment rate with G_Hegyi interspecific competition index were higher than those of the Hegyi interspecific competition index. The G_Hegyi interspecific competition index ratio more accurately reflects the relationship between forest growth and interspecific competition than the Hegyi interspecific competition index ratio. The G_Hegyi interspecific competition index demonstrated superiority in analyzing forest interspecific competition and is thus more suitable for application in related studies of tree growth.
